Leiston-cum-Sizewell Town Council is registered with the Information Commisioners Office to provide the core information detailed in the Model Parish Publication Scheme to members of the public who so request it under the Freedom of Information Act 2000. The Town Council's aim has always been to operate as tranparently as possible within the public arena and to try and keep those residents it represents and serves as fully informed as possible on its activities. The only exceptions to this will be the normal caveats with regard to data protection and personal details. Any resident who wishes to know more about the workings of their Council are most welcome to call 01728 830388 and, if their query cannot be answered by phone, arrange a meeting with the Town Clerk.

The only information on this website (Leiston.com) which the Town Council can confirm the authenticty of is published on the Town Council's own page. Whilst every effort is made to ensure all the other pages are accurate no responsibility can be taken for any information that is incorrect or out of date - this particularly applies to any links outside of leiston.com which are included purely for the readers convenience. Anyone who feels that this site could be enhanced by adding another link relevant to Leiston are invited to contact the Town Clerk through the various links and let him know. This is an evolving project and, although business links will not be included on an individual basis, there would be no objection to including a link to any directories that exist, as the whole point of this site is to try and pull together a comprehensive overview of the parish.
